Day 23: Prison break - Tuesday 3/5

Today we visited a rather strange company, the Bob Barker Company. They are specialized in anything a prison would need, from toothpaste, to mattresses, to prison outfits and other goodies. The company imports almost 80% of its products, but makes some things there selfs, like the mattresses and they also print the prisons name on the outfits. They assemble welcome packs for inmates and everything is security or suicide proof. Who would have imagined that this was a big business.

During lunch we had a 6 foot long sandwich and a had a talk with the mayor of Fuquay. Afterwards we went on a hike in Raven Rock State Park. It was very hot and we were al sweating, but it was nice to be outside for a while.

We were planning on having to do a presentation for 5 rotary clubs, but no laptop and no beamer, means no presentation. Good for us, we went home early and had spent some time with our host family after a well deserved shower.
